Thomas Jacobs, President & Co-owner

Thomas Jacobs’ professional pedigree includes an extensive background in the sales and marketing industry and demonstrated leadership within Fortune 1000 companies. Currently, he serves as the president and co-owner of Michigan Surgical Products, Inc. 

Mr. Jacobs’ interest in the medical industry was sparked at the age of 14 when he was involved in a serious automobile accident. The injuries sustained from the accident required several surgeries in Michigan and at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Being involved in this life changing event has helped to shape his vision of a world class medical device organization. A commitment to quality, service and most importantly a dedication to positively impacting patient outcomes remains at the forefront of this vision.

Outside of the office, Jacobs is actively involved in the community. He sits on select boards on a local and national basis. In addition, he works with non-profit organizations to promote the betterment of the underprivileged.

A Michigan native, Jacobs earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. He currently resides in Hartland, MI, with his wife, Nicole and their two daughters, Mayah Grace and Kenzie Elizabeth.

 

Jonathan Moeser, Account Manager

Jonathan Moeser is originally from Lapeer, MI (near Flint), and currently lives in Warren MI with his wife, Sarah, their son Max, and their Basenji (dog) Pico. He graduated from Wayne State University with a BS in Biology. When not working or spending time with his family, Jonathan enjoys playing any sport, especially basketball. He also considers himself a huge “foodie” and has a great passion for cooking gourmet food. Professionally, Jonathan loves working in this industry and is proud to be a part of the patient healing process. He was involved in a life threatening auto accident in 1993, and had to undergo subsequent surgery to repair his spine. He knows what the treatment did for his quality of life, and in turn sparked his interest to work in the medical device industry. He has an overall positive outlook on most situations in life, and believes strongly in treating those around him with the same courtesy and respect that he expects towards himself!

 

Paul McMullen, Account Manager

Paul McMullen is a 1995 graduate of Eastern Michigan University. He developed into a top ranked middle distance runner while pursuing his Bachelors in Accounting and turned professional in 1995. Paul competed in the Olympic Games for the United States in 1996 where he placed 19th. He retired from running in 2002 after being ranked number one and joined the US Coast Guard Reserves where he was called to active duty in early 2003. In 2005, Paul completed his tour and went into sales as a Sales Representative for a major pharmaceutical company. In 2007 he accepted an offer from a major medical device distributor as a full line sales representative. Paul joined Michigan Surgical Products as the West Michigan/Northern Indiana account manager in November of 2009 and brings his competitive edge and a passion for science based medicine. He has two children, Olivia who is 8 and David who is 3. His interests include running, cycling, skiing, hiking, hunting, and walking on the beach in Grand Haven where he resides.
