Michigan Surgical Products is proud to be affiliated with The Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine (F.O.C.O.S.). The mission of F.O.C.O.S. is to treat orthopedic conditions, spine deformities and disorders of the spine in children as well as adults in impoverished countries. As a recent recipient of the AAOS Humanitarian Award, their vision is to support projects in clinical and basic science research to advance the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control of injuries and diseases of the spine. F.O.C.O.S. is currently working in the West African country of Ghana, bringing state of the art free care to both young and old who are afflicted with spinal deformities and disorders. Many of these individuals would face a life-threatening and debilitating prognosis without this care.
